Production Central
Go beyond the screen in a world where you're the star and anything can happen. Here, the movies you know are real and you get to take part in the adventures as they unfold.
This area is split into three sections. The first section is a Despicable Me-themed area that recreates the neighborhood seen in the film. Here, two attractions are available. Minions Light Search is a flashlight ride where guests look for things in the dark and make things happen, similar to Monsters, Inc. Ride-and-go-Seek at Tokyo Disneyland. Going into Gru's house, guests can ride Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem. Both rides exit into Dr. Nefario's Supply, a gift shop. Across the street is Super Silly Fun World, where guests can go on the kiddie rides Silly Swirl and Minion Spin, as well as playing the Super Silly Games to win prizes. Despicable Delights is a snack stand.
Next up is a San Francisco Area, where guests are supposed to feel like they're on the wharf. On the docks are two restaurants, Ghiradeli Chocolate and Earthquake Cafe. On the right side is Lombard Traders and Down by the Bay, both of which are shops. Between the two restaurants is a raft to the center of the park, where guests can explore Convict Island, a Tom Sawyer Island-esque place where guests can explore Alcatraz.
The final section of the land, and by far the largest one, is a New York area. On the left side is a park where guests can find entertainment throughout the day. North of that is Noel's Christmas Shop, a Christmas store, and Jimmy's Deli. Nearby is Race Through New York with Jimmy Fallon, a motion simulator ride based off of the Tonight Show. Next to that is The Tonight Shop. Further down the street is Mulligan's Irish Pub and In Character, a shop and restaurant. Across the street from that is Stuart Department Store, the second largest store in the park. Nearby that is the dark ride, Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, where guests ride through New York with the pets. Louie's Italian Restaurant is located nearby.

When I wanted to create a fictional Hollywood, I decided to go bigger. I wanted to incorporate other big cities in America, so I added San Francisco and New York. I also wanted this to be a more family-based area than others in the park, so I had the attractions (with the exception of the Tonight Show,) mainly based off of kids movies. I had so many ideas for this, including trolleys and Broadway theaters, but I couldn't find anything to do with them, so I just went with what I had.
