Lost World

Trek deep into the lost jungles of the world, encountering peril at every turn and unexpected surprises along the way. Here, guests can have several adventures, from gentle to thrilling, all within an exotic setting. Several exotic plants are here, trying to create the illusion that they really are in these faraway places.

Entering from London, guests enter the jungles of Madagascar. Here, they can eat at The Hungry Foosa on their left. Nearby is King Julien's Tree Swing, where guests ride swings around the great Bobab tree. Nearby that is Madagascar: A Crate Adventure, a boat ride based off an attraction in Singapore. Towards the end of the area is a bridge to Crood Island as well as Washed-Up Wares, a shop selling things that the lemurs have found on their beach. Also nearby is Marty's, based off of the hand-made restaurant seen in the film.

Further down is an area based off of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. Going down, guests pass by River Terrace and Dino Store, a shop and a restaurant. On the left is Camp Jurassic, a discovery area that connects to Crood Island, and on the right is the Jurassic World Discovery Center, where guests can learn about dinosaurs and take part in science tests. Nearby that is Jurassic World Velocicoaster, a similar ride to the one in Orlando. The ride exits into the shop built into the Discovery Center, Blast from the Past. Further down near the entrance to Super Nintendo World is Jurassic Park River Adventure, which is a modified version of the ride. It exits into Jurassic Outfitters. The Watering Hole is a nearby restaurant.

Crossing several bridges is Crood Island, which is based on The Croods. Here, guests can explore the Crood Island Trails and see the prehistoric world of the film. The Betterman Home is a Swiss Family Treehouse-style attraction inspired by the one seen in the second film. There is a small area near the Egyptian area featuring Caveman Cafe, a restaurant, and Creature Corner, a store selling creatures seen in the franchise, such as Punch Monkeys, Belt, Sash, and others.

Connecting the Madagascar and Croods areas is an Ancient Egyptian area. The Adventure Club is a nearby restaurant set in a 1930s explorer's outpost. Guests can also explore the ruins in Ruins Explorations or get snacks at Mummy Dogs. Those brave enough to face the wrath of the ancients can venture into the tomb of Imhotep, where Revenge of the Mummy takes place. This version of the ride features a sandstorm scene, a few booby traps, and like it's Orlando counterpart, a fake unload area just to catch guests off guard. Treasure Tomb is a gift shop after the ride.

So I've had the idea to do Universal in a more Disney-like way, grouping certain themes and attractions into areas. If this was a Disney Park, this area would be Adventureland. I took inspiration from seeing exotic places in the world and prehistory, which are the two major themes of the area. Although I have some hard feelings with family films like Madagascar and The Croods clashing with more mature ones like Jurassic Park and The Mummy, I thought I could make them work together with these themes. The layout of this land is inspired by the Adventureland in Disneyland Paris with several areas surrounding an exploration island.
